Growing Forests
“Growing Forests was born out of concern for the amount of clearcutting in privately owned forests. As landowners grow older, many have to sell their woodlots for a multitude of reasons. Often, this means woodlots are immediately clearcut and sold to foreign investors. Growing Forests was created to provide a better option for woodlot-succession owners by offering a trusted, local option that is committed to proper, ecological forests values that reach far beyond immediate returns. We’re devoted to enhancing and maintaining the ecological integrity of forests. Our mission is to acquire forest properties and to manage those properties with a focus on environmental and social sustainability and climate change mitigation.”
