DRAFTING.. (Nov 14, 2025…)

From the website www.climatestoriesatlantic.ca, under About:

Climate Stories Atlantic is an initiative of the Climate Focus Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to covering stories about climate solutions in Atlantic Canada.

Climate Stories Atlantic builds on the success of the Climate Story Network, which launched in 2023. It provided professionally written and edited articles about positive climate change projects in Nova Scotia to community newspapers for free.

With Climate Stories Atlantic, we’re extending this climate journalism to include all four Atlantic provinces and have created a new online content platform. It is the first of its kind in the region: an exclusively climate-focused online publication which includes articles, podcasts, and columns, featuring professional writers and journalists.

These stories are so pertinent to Atlantic Canada and even globally, and involve many interviews whihc provide details and explanations not readily available otherwise. So it seemed appropriate to highlight at least some of them on this website and highlight the whole initiative as Climate Change is a major area of interest to us, the role of forests primarily, but there is lots of overlaps with other areas of climate science. We note from About:

We are non-partisan and our content is about real-world solutions. We take a jargon-free, down-to-earth, and cautiously hopeful look at positive climate action. Donate to support climate journalism.

We express our appreciation and encourage our readers to support this initiative.

The key, he says, is local ownership and distributed generation. And he puts his money where his mouth is, with the 2026-27 launch of his company’s largest wind farm to date, in Mersey River, NS – with 33 big, beautiful turbines…”
