Forest Guide – A Docuseries

Experience forest bathing in the beauty and magic of Nova Scotia with your own personal forest guide!
This special community event will feature the premiere screening of two episodes of Forest Guide, a new Bell Fibe TV1 docuseries filmed in Nova Scotia. The series invites viewers to explore the forests and trails of Mi’kma’ki – Nova Scotia through the perspectives of local forest guides, blending immersive documentary storytelling with the calming practice of forest bathing.
Attendees will experience a deep connection to Mi’kma’ki’s natural landscapes while learning more about the people who know them best. The production highlights the region’s creative talent, environmental beauty, and growing potential as a destination for film and storytelling.
The experience can evoke deep love and strength to protect our forests as natural heritage, including our own Ingram River old growth forest with the oldest tree in Nova Scotia and essential habitat for moose and many other living beings.
Creator and Director John Wimberly, who grew up in St. Margaret’s Bay, will be present for discussion and Q&A.
